Pet Lore is designed to gently awaken familiar memories and relatable experiences, encouraging a curiosity- and sentimentality-driven exploration of identity through the lens of a life shared with animals.​
As a natural extension of that reflection, users begin examining memories, milestones, and everyday moments with their own pets—and gain the language to translate those experiences into something I’ve come to think of as a shared lore.​
On one hand, each person’s lore is deeply unique to their lived experiences and reflective of an inner spirit that holds space for some of the most profound experiences a human being can bear.But on the other hand, the core elements of that journey—the pivotal moments that evolve the bond between humans and animals over time, the routines, the chaos, the quiet companionship, and ultimately a lifetime of togetherness—are remarkably universal.​

Pet Lore is an app, online community, and literary journal that enables pet owners to keep a digital journal of their memories and milestones and, if they wish, to share these stories with others.

This is a space for pet owners of all walks of life -- and for all species of animals, from furry friends to barnyard buddies to scaley companions. ​​​
