A journal for the lives we share with animals.
The Good Companion is Pet Lore’s journal for essays, art, research, field notes, and guided storytelling about the lives we share with animals.
Our first issue is currently in development. Soon, this space will feature the current issue, past issues, contributor work, and the full archive.
For now, we are accepting pitches and submissions for Issue No. 01: Service Animals, Care, and Companionship.
Subscribe to The Good Companion
Subscribe for new issues, open calls for pitches, contributor opportunities, deadline reminders, and occasional notes from the editor. This is the best way to hear when a new call opens, when an issue is published, or when new storytelling opportunities become available.
