Pet Arts & Crafts
When your pet becomes something you make, wear, carry, or keep
Sometimes pet lore does not stay in the camera roll — it becomes art. A quick notebook doodle, a painting, a digital portrait, an embroidery pattern, a tattoo, a custom tote bag, a quilt square, a sticker, a charm, a clay figure, a scrapbook page, a phone wallpaper, or a handmade ornament can all become part of a pet’s story. In Pet Lore, this theme captures the creative afterlife of affection: the instinct to redraw them, remake them, wear them, gift them, memorialize them, or turn their personality into something tangible.

Pet Lore Memory Prompts
A Moment:
Save the story behind the creation: what you made, why you made it, what detail you wanted to preserve, and whether the piece captures their face, their personality, a nickname, a favorite pose, or a memory you did not want to lose.

A Milestone:
Connect the artwork or object to a meaningful season: childhood, school years, grief, healing, a birthday, a memorial period, a move, a long-distance chapter, a new creative hobby, or the moment you realized your pet had become part of your own identity.
A Pattern:
Compare the kinds of art different pets inspired: the one you always doodled, the one who became a tattoo, the one turned into embroidery, the one printed on a tote bag, the one who inspired stickers, the one who became a keepsake gift, or the one the whole family tried to draw.

This theme could become a gallery submission, tattoo story, craft feature, illustrated essay, digital art series, photo essay, artist reflection, poem paired with artwork, embroidery pattern, zine-style spread, or short piece about why people feel compelled to keep remaking the animals they love.
