Side Eye / Eye Rolls

Suspicious, unimpressed, over it, and absolutely done

Some pets have a look that says everything without making a sound: suspicion, judgment, exhaustion, annoyance, disbelief, or total emotional withdrawal. These photos capture the expressions that make a pet feel deeply readable — the side eye, the eye roll, the “really?” face, the “I’ve had enough” stare. In Pet Lore, these moments become evidence of personality, attitude, and the private commentary pets seem to be constantly offering.

Pet Lore  Memory Prompts

A Moment:

Save the story behind the look: what were they reacting to — bath time, being disturbed, another pet, your bad decision, a noisy visitor, an outfit, a camera in their face, or simply your existence that day?

A Milestone:

Connect the photo to a season of life when their attitude became part of the emotional atmosphere of home: stressful days, work-from-home life, family chaos, recovery periods, moving houses, or the ordinary years when their expressions said what everyone else was thinking.

A Pattern:

Compare the household’s masters of disapproval: the skeptic, the drama queen, the long-suffering older sibling, the unimpressed observer, the one who was always suspicious, or the pet whose face made every situation funnier.
