Yawning or Screaming
When one open mouth becomes a whole personality
Open-mouth photos are funny because they are ambiguous: is the pet yawning, yelling, singing, protesting, laughing, summoning spirits, or making an announcement no one asked for? In Pet Lore, these moments turn a split-second expression into character evidence — dramatic, sleepy, chaotic, theatrical, or deeply unserious.

Pet Lore Memory Prompts
A Moment:
Save the story behind the expression: were they waking up, demanding food, reacting to being ignored, mid-yawn, mid-meow, mid-bark, or simply caught at the most ridiculous possible moment?

A Milestone:
Connect the photo to a life season where their “voice” became part of the background of your life: morning routines, work-from-home days, recovery periods, moves, family chaos, lonely seasons, or ordinary days made funnier by their noise and presence.
A Pattern:
Compare the household’s dramatic communicators: the yowler, the demand-barker, the silent yawner, the opera singer, the protest artist, the mouth-open goblin, or the pet who always looked like they had breaking news.
